How to get there?
To get to Los Amigos, you need to start from the city of Puerto Maldonado—connected by air to Lima (1 hour 30 minutes) and Cusco (40 minutes)—and from there drive to the port of Laberinto, where you board a speedboat that will take you to our lodge in 3 hours.
Two options for getting to Los Amigos
1. Public transportation from Puerto Maldonado to Puerto Laberinto with Empresa Tisla Transportes, with daily departures from 5:00 am. You can reserve your seat directly on site. The cost of the ticket is S/. 15 soles, and payment is made in cash directly to the driver. The estimated travel time is 45 minutes. Upon arrival in Puerto Laberinto, you must board the available shared river transport. The cost of the ticket is S/. 100 soles, and payment is made directly to the boat operator in cash. The travel time is approximately 3.5 hours. We recommend staying overnight in Puerto Maldonado so you can board the first boat at 6:00 am. After this time, schedules are inconsistent and you may be stranded in Puerto Laberinto.
2. Private transfer from Puerto Maldonado to Puerto Laberinto at 5:00 am with pickup from your hotel. The extra cost is $65 USD (for 1 to 5 passengers). The travel time is approximately 45 minutes, and our driver will assist you in boarding the shared river transport.
